Natural Soft brown n Cream

We start with a naked face. Well, i think by now you know my model's naked face right. So i skip that part.

Starts with applying a foundation base/primer to the face. I'm using maybelline Whitestay UV base. It's not the best but it'll do the trick. this is especially good if you're gonna be out under the sun. If i'm not mistaken it has SPF30.

This is my Revlon Mineral foundation. The main reason i used foundation base today is that my mineral foundation will stick better on the skin and stay longer. If that make sense. It is very easy to apply this foundation. Use your kabuki brush or a very fluffy face brush. Dab it on the foundation and start swirling it on your face. Give it a good swirl so it'll give a better coverage.

This is how it looks after applying foundation.

You often heard me talking bout applying eye primer right? But i never showed you what it looks like. I'm using Elianto eye primer in 02 shade. If you don't have eye primer, don't fret..You can always use a lil bit of your concealer or foundation. the purpose of applying base before you apply any eyeshadows is to prevent creasing.

Take that cream colour and apply it all over your eyelid.

This picture is supposed to show the cream color applied on the lid but the camera doesn't pickup cream very well.

Then take that soft brown color.

Apply that color to the outer V..and blend it until the color soften.

Take some of this copper brown using a small angle blush brush.

And contour you face. Make a slanted line from your ears about 45' like in the picture.

As we keep the eyes very natural, i would like to bring in more colors to the cheek. So i used a very pink blusher. (i don't remember the name).

Line the upper and lower lashlines with an eyeliner pencil. This 1 also by Elianto.

I coated the lashes with Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara.

On the lips, i applied Revlon PlumSexxxy Lipcolor in 04 Gorgeous and a lil bit Revlon GlossyLicious lipgloss in Guava Glimmer.

So here's the finish look:

Simply Pink & Brown

Today’s look is very minimal and neutral. Suitable for everyday makeup or lunch dates. And it is easy too especially for beginners.

So, the colors we need are:

  1. Pink
  2. Brown
  3. Cream (as highlighter)

I just bought this palette I’m using from Watson, called Trend Chic. It is only RM3.77. It is worth it because the colors are very simple and neutral, not too strong. The type of colors we used everyday. Not to mention is very easy to store too.

(Disclaimer: If you are unlucky, some colors don’t pay off. I suggest you check straight away after you purchase in front of the cashier... hahah)

Applying Foundation

I’m using Kryolan TV Paint Stick in W5. If you are fairer, try W4. Take a sponge, dab it on your foundation stick and starts to apply it on the face. Makes sure you get all the face covered evenly. If you have very visible scar, do apply concealer on the spots. Then using a face brush, apply loose face powder (or some people prefer setting powder) evenly on your face. After that, apply eye primer and base for eyeshadow. I’m using Orima cream eyeshadow. MAC Paint Pot in Painterly will do just fine if not better.

Steps

Take that pink color and apply it on the lid. About 2/3.

Take the brown color and apply it on the outer corner and slowly sweep it in.

Do the windshield wiper motion but only till half of the lid. Give it a good sweep. We want really soft brown there.

Take the cream color. Apply that under the brow as your highlighter. Then fill in the brows. Apply eyeliner on the upper lash line and 1/3 in on the lower lash.

Apply falsies. This is of course optional. I just feel like putting it on today... Hihi...

Then contouring, I used a soft brown eyeshadow. You can also use brown blusher or face powder that is darker than your skin tone.

After that apply blusher on the apple of you cheeks and highlight on your cheekbone. As the last touch, apply mineralize skin finish (or you can use bronzer) on your cheek, nose bridge and the areas you want to higlight.

AND... VOILA!!!!
